"Beautiful shoes that I'm wearing to my after-wedding party."

Our Benson wholecut has a sleek silhouette and slightly chiselled toe. Perhaps the ultimate dress shoe for shoe lovers, it is formal, stylish and beautiful. In a stunning custom green patina, this shoe is unique and individual and will add that touch of colour and interest to whatever you are wearing.

  • 'Wholecut' - made from a single piece of leather
  • Sleek, elegant and minimalist styling with a slightly chiselled toe
  • Oxford closed lacing with premium flat, waxed laces
  • Full grain calf leather for softness and longevity
  • Hand-dyed custom green patina, polished and burnished
  • Hard-wearing Blake-stitched leather/rubber sole for added grip
  • Full calf leather lining for comfort and to absorb moisture
  • Made in Italy by artisan shoemakers

Hand finished green patina

These are Italian made wholecuts, using full grain calf leather. They are then finished to order in England by our patina specialist. Shades of green and complimentary tones are skilfully applied by hand. Several layers of special waxes are then added by hand to build up the depth of shine and protect the finish. Every pair is unique and is a work of art.

Full Grain Calf Leather

Being a wholecut, each shoe is made from a single piece of high quality calf leather, so there has to be no defects. There is just a single joining piece at the back. It’s a very elegant, dressy, formal shoe, ideal for special occasions.

Craftsmanship/attention to detail

The top line is neat, with no raw edges, as we taper or ‘skyve’ the edge, then fold the leather and stitch it. The shoe has a full calf leather lining. This helps absorb moisture and prolong the life of the shoe. And we use a genuine full leather insole. Inside the heel, the reverse counter, we use suede to stop your heel slipping. What you can’t see are the stiffeners between the calf upper and lining. There is one in the toe and another at the back. These are important to keep the shoe looking good as it ages, and we use longer, high quality stiffeners to achieve this.

Stitched leather sole

The sole is stitched onto the upper with a traditional Italian method called blake stitching. Th is an in-channel, lock stitching technique, so even if one stitch was worn the others will still be locked securely in place. And being stitched the sole can be replaced when it eventually wears. But to extend the sole’s life, we use a rubber insert for added wear and better grip.

Stacked leather heel

There is a 25mm genuine leather stacked, heel, with 4 brass pins, and a rubber piece, again for better wear and grip, that can be easily replaced. There is a ‘gentleman’s corner’, a small bevel that reduces snagging of the heel on your trousers.

Benson custom green patina wholecut is a beautifully Italian made high quality shoe, that with care should give you many years of enjoyment.

The Epson F170 has been ideal for getting started with sublimation. It's easy to use, prints vibrant and defined colors, and has allowed me to personalize various projects with excellent results. As a beginner, it has given me a lot of confidence to learn and create without complications. I definitely recommend it for anyone starting out in sublimation.

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.

Epson SureColor F170 Sublimation Printer Rocks!
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
TI’m a newbie at sublimation, and this is my first sublimation printer. I love it! I can’t wait to make more things! I like that it’s not too large, but still can print up to 8.5x14”. The quality seems to be really good, but I also don’t have any other printer to compare it to. This was my very first project! I’m very happy with it so far!
