A stunning and large example of a highly pyritised multi-ammonite fossil containing the species Crucilobiceras densinodulum from the world famous Jurassic Coast beach of Charmouth, Dorset UK.

The fossil measures 33 mm (1.35 inches) across with matrix. The pyrite matrix of this piece contains multiple little ammonite shells that accumulated together on the seafloor in the Early Jurassic. The shells are very well preserved with great detail and the whole piece has a wonderful pyritic metallic colour and shine. A small but beautiful fossil that is packed full of detail.

These multi-ammonite assemblages (or 'death beds') occur when lots of shells came together on the seafloor before being fossilised together, often collecting around an obstacle in the mud like a piece of wood or larger shell. They are a beautiful snapshot of life (and death) on the seafloor almost 200 million years ago.

Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.

The title say everything there is to say about this purse. I especially loved the two outside pockets that worked perfectly for my phone, keys etc. making them easily accessible. Unfortunately the inside zipped compartment that many find useful was the bane of my life.. I could not remember whether I had put something inside the zipped pocket or on either side - and if so on which side. Besides which all small things (lipstick, small pill case, etc) fell on their side and were very difficult to see and find in the black interior. I guess I am too used to a purse organizer (light colored) which has stiff pockets in which everything stands up vertically. All it takes is a glance to locate what you need.. I had to, almost regretfully, return this purse but lesson learned - only buy a purse minus middle pocket which leaves no room for an organizer.
